Tony Dagnone, C.M.

Mr. Tony Dagnone has more than
38 years of experience in health care sector, 25 of which have
been at the senior executive level.
After spending
more than two decades at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon,
Saskatchewan, Mr. Dagnone came to London in 1992 as the
President and CEO of University Hospital. In 1995, University
Hospital merged with Victoria Hospital and became the London
Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) and Mr. Dagnone was appointed
President and CEO.
Over the years he
has held a number of leadership and board positions at the
provincial, national and international level. Mr. Dagnone is the
past Chair of the Ontario Hospital Association and currently
serves as Chair of the Change Foundation as well as a member of
the Canadian Healthcare Association.
In 1991, he was
granted the Order of Canada for his work in the community and
leadership in health care. In 2003, he was awarded the Queen’s
Jubilee Medal. In 2005, Mr. Dagnone was the recipient of the
Canadian College of Heath Service Executives (CCHSE)
Distinguished Service Award as a testament to his extraordinary
contributions to the field of health care management and to the
high esteem in which he is held by his peers.
In London, his
community volunteer work has included United Way Cabinet,
Honorary Chair, 2001 Canada Games and various hospital
Foundations fundraising efforts.
