Angela M. Dunbar, M.B.A.

European eHealth Manager

 

 

 

 

Angela M. Dunbar brings a comprehensive understanding of management, public health and IT business environments to LeaderHealth, based on 10 years of experience as an international manager in health IT.

 

Ms Dunbar has a broad experience of leading cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams across Western, Central and Eastern Europe and North America – Canada and US with proven ability to enact visions through strategic planning and building effective international alliances. She has worked with Ministerial level stakeholders, the European Commission, the European Space Agency, the International Telecommunications Union and various research and private organizations.

 

For the past three years, Ms Dunbar leads the e-Health programme for the WHO Regional Office of Europe where she is responsible for supporting Health System transformation by leveraging appropriate ICT infrastructure and eHealth tools and services in 53 Member States.

 

She has coordinated six international research and development projects sponsored by the European Commission through the Municipal Institute of Medical Investigation (IMIM) in Barcelona, Spain and IESE Business School, University of Navarra, typically involving more than 10 international partners, 40 international team members and ranging in duration from 1 to 3 years duration.

She has worked with many facets of the industry from procurement, design, implementation, usability, re-engineering as an implementations project manager with PICIS Inc. perioperative and critical care information solutions provider.

Ms. Dunbar is a Canadian with a B.Scs in Health Information Science and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) and has a particular interest in cross-domain knowledge management traversing IT, Public Health, Management, and Development sectors.
